When I wrote about where I work in a previous post I mentioned that I was in the process of up-cycling a new desk!
It has been a long slog. I got the desk from Freecycle, back in late September last year. Then, painted it to match the colour scheme I was putting in my lounge.

I used Dulux Woodsheen - Ebony for the dark areas of the desk and Craig &Rose 1829 - Violet Slate for the purple accents.

Yesterday, my Hubby finally helped me add the pull down shelf.
The chair is a "Sakarias", upholstered dining chair from Ikea, the cushion was gift from my sister a couple of Christmases ago and the blanket is the grey "Gurli" throw from Ikea. The shelf above is also from Ikea and is one of their picture ledges.
I love having a space that is only for me to work in. I also love that I can close my desk, move my chair to the side and I have an grown up lounge with an armchair to enjoy.
All I need now is a very small foot stool because my legs are so flipping short :)
I hope you enjoyed this post, do you have a workspace? Please feel free to share it in the comments.
As always, thank you for popping by. xx
